Shift Your Thoughts, Shift Your Energy – An Exercise In Energy

I’m feeling playful as I write this so I’m going to do something a little different! I want to show you how easy it is to play with energy and shift your vibration at the same time. Are you ready?

Start by thinking about something going on in your life right now that is bothering you. Something that you wish was better. It could be your health, financial situation, a relationship, job/career… something that matters to you. Let your mind wander around the issue. Now, notice how you feel. Any physical reactions, emotions, thoughts that come up. Take a minute or two to do this.

Now, think about that same issue, but instead it has been resolved in a way you’d like it to be, in a way that feels good to you. There are no limitations, no rules and any resolution is possible. It doesn’t have to be logical or rational. It may even be the hail Mary of miracles! It’s simply the outcome that you want, that feels good to you. Don’t think about the how’s – how it would happen or how to make it work. Just focus on an outcome that you desire. Now, notice how you feel. Again, take a minute or two to do this.

Now compare how you felt when you focused on the issue as it is now versus when you focused on your desired outcome. Notice a difference? Which one felt better to you? Which one would you rather feel on a daily basis?

This little exercise demonstrates the energy of your thoughts and how powerful they really are! They can literally change how you feel! By shifting your focus from what you don’t want and what doesn’t feel good to you, to what you do want and what feels better to you, you shift your energy and raise your vibration! And you can do it in minutes!

As your energy shifts and you raise your vibration, it does a few things:

  • You feel better, which in turn affects your day, how you interact with others and how you navigate the things in your life – you’re coming from a higher vibration, more from a space of love. Things then seem to go smoother, easier.
  • You get the momentum of that vibration going and it will keep picking up speed. That’s when you feel like you’re in the flow or in the zone – that spiritual sweet spot!
  • You open yourself up more to the abundance in the universe. This goes back to the Law of Attraction and like attracting like.

There is a quote by Albert Einstein, “You can never solve a problem on the level on which it was created”. What he’s talking about boils down to energy and problem-based thinking vs. solution-based thinking. You either stay in the energy of the issue, bitching and complaining about it, going around and around in your head fussing about it. Or start focusing on solutions and move into higher vibrations. As you saw with the exercise at the beginning, the latter feels way better, doesn’t it?

Shifting your thoughts doesn’t mean you’re denying the reality of what is happening at the present moment. You’re just choosing what you’re focusing on (solutions and possibilities) and in doing so, you start planting seeds to move into something better than what you’re experiencing now! Yes, it is that easy!

By the way, that’s also owning your power more too! Yippee!
