Creating Your Reality

You are the creator of worlds! Yes, you! You are that powerful! You created this physical existence, the lifetime you are currently living. And you continue to create all sorts of things while you’re here, including your reality!

And it all starts with your beliefs. Your pictures of reality – what you believe to be true about anything and everything – ultimately become your reality. In addition, you’ve got a powerful force working with you to create your reality… the universe. Because whatever you believe to be true, the universe will rearrange itself to accommodate your pictures of reality.

So if you believe life is difficult, that belief gets the ball rolling. Then the universe will pitch in in all kinds of ways, in the form of difficult people, interactions, situations, etc. Before you know it, life feels like an uphill battle. If, on the other hand, you believe life is an adventure to be enjoyed, the same process happens, but on the opposite side of the spectrum. Life feels easy and is way more enjoyable.

This goes for anything you believe to be true. Your beliefs about life, the world, love, relationships, money, work, health, medicine, your genetics, happiness, your self-worth, your Divine Creator, religion, spirituality, people, politics, driving, grocery shopping, sleeping, food… everything!

As you run your reality, others are running theirs too. We may all be living together on this planet, but everyone is experiencing life in their own unique way. There may be similarities, but no two realties are exactly the same. Nor are they meant to be. There are literally billions of realities running simultaneously on the planet right now!

Lately, I’ve been getting messages from Spirit about running your own reality and not other people’s realities. Running someone else’s reality means you hold a belief or beliefs that are not yours, beliefs you don’t really believe or don’t ring true for you.

From childhood on, you are continuously learning about the world and life. You learn, see, hear and are taught all kinds of things from various sources. A person can only communicate, teach or share from their perspective, from their truth. Which may not be yours. As kids, and even as adults, we don’t always question if what we see, hear or learn from other’s is what we really believe. Sometimes, we simply accept it as truth. Then you’re running someone else’s reality.

As you run someone else’s reality, you are not following what is true for you. This limits you. Even if the other person’s picture of reality is a good one, what’s right for them may be a barrier for you. You didn’t come here as a divine, powerful being to be limited!

There are a lot of things in the world you can be scared of. And there are people who want to talk about those things, muck around in them and spread even more fear about them. If they want to believe that stuff, that’s their reality. But it doesn’t have to be your reality! You are a divine, powerful being. The more you stand in your power and your truth, the more you know there isn’t anything to be afraid of. And you will continue to improve on your reality and make a heaven right here on earth for yourself. Yes, you can do that, even if everyone around you is living a fear-based reality.

Are you willing to take a look at your beliefs and change any that aren’t serving you well? You don’t have to look at all of them all at once. If there’s an area of your life that you want to change or elevate, start there. What do you believe to be true about it? Are you running part of someone else’s reality? You may find beliefs that go back to childhood, pictures of reality that are your parent’s or the community you grew up in. Some beliefs are more obvious. Some run quietly in the background, influencing you in ways you’re not even aware of.

Your beliefs can also be affected by everyday things like watching the news, being on social media and in conversations. The other day I was talking with someone who said there are so many bad drivers and it’s more dangerous on the roads these days. As I heard them say it, I could feel the fear in that. I turned within for a moment and told myself “that may be their reality, but it’s not mine”. No disrespect to the person, but I’m not making that my reality! In more conversations lately, instead of agreeing with people’s fears, I find myself saying “that’s interesting, but I’m experiencing something different”.

As you actively create your reality, don’t be surprised if it looks different from other’s or even goes outside the “norm”. You’re simply unplugging from external beliefs that aren’t serving you well and following your inner truth. Because that’s what powerful divine beings do! Others may not understand it, they may judge or criticize it or even be jealous. Nevermind them. They’re still running fear-based pictures and not listening to their inner truth. When you follow and honor your inner truth, you are aligning with the divine, with love. Trust that love. It feels like happiness, contentment, creativity, passion and peace within you. It will make you feel more alive! It’s being in the flow, the divine flow of life. That’s the kind of reality I’m creating. How about you?
