Is It Just Me – week of March 6, 2016

Is It Just Me 3-6-16 copy

Is it just me or has it been quite a week for anyone else? This week has been all about health issues. Not mine, but other people’s. I spent the week checking in on people energetically, channeling healing energy and working with God and the angels to surround people and their loved ones with healing energy and love. I was also dealing with my own emotions about the health issue of one of my loved ones. Let’s just say by last night I was ready to indulge in a little Project Runway All Stars before taking some time to release energy and center myself. Ahhh, that helped!

I’ve been following the work of some psychics who tune into the energy of the planet. They are saying that we are going through a transition. I noticed that as soon as we started the new year, a lot of people passed on. First it was public figures, then people I knew.  Now it’s a mix of people passing, getting sick or being diagnosed with something.

This week I’ve noticed irritability in people as I’ve been out and about. Change is not always an easy thing for some, probably many, of us. Being aware though that change is in the air can help you go with the flow and have a smoother ride. Irritability or similar emotions come out in people that are fighting the transition, going against the flow.

Besides channeling healing energy, I have been asking the angels to surround people. I actually asked for a gazillion angels to surround my loved one and my friend’s mom. I call those “angel fuzzies” because I believe the angels’ presence is calming, loving and healing. Even if the person is not consciously aware of it, they feel it on an energetic level. The day after I did this, Doreen Virtue posted an angel message saying that when you ask the angels to surround you or others, you will receive signs that your request has been heard. I took that post as one of my signs!

Prayer is also so powerful! I believe it is a way of sending positive energy to a person when you say a prayer for them. When a person is going through difficult times, they can use all that positive energy! I was saying prayers this week, asking God to keep everyone free of pain and help with their situation.

I think that doing things like asking God and the angels to surround people or praying is also beneficial to us. It helps us to feel like we are helping the person somehow. When my dad was sick years ago, I would have moved heaven and earth if it meant he would get better. I felt so helpless because I felt like I couldn’t do anything to help him. Now I know better.

Based on what I have seen this week and have been learning since I became a Spiritual Counselor, I can’t stress enough the importance of keeping yourself healthy. Not only physically, but also on an energetic level. Pay attention to the signs your body is sending you. If something doesn’t feel right to you, go to a medical professional. I believe that we can heal ourselves and that healing includes the use of traditional medicine. Trust your intuition when you feel off somehow, by seeking out help, by getting a second opinion if you feel a doctor hasn’t diagnosed you correctly… these are some of the ways we help to heal ourselves. Healing energetically is important too. Heal and let go of the past traumas, hurt, sadness, etc. Holding on to that stuff doesn’t do you any good!

Even though it’s been a heck of week, today is calmer and even the energy feels smoother. People are still dealing with issues, upcoming procedures, waiting for test results, etc. Being in a calmer space helps though in dealing with whatever comes your way. Let the emotions flow as they come up. Once the tears have stopped or the shock has worn off, then you can center yourself and find the calm within. And in that calm is God and Spirit, helping you every step of the way.

And finally… to Linda P – word and game extraordinaire, she of the green thumbs, beautiful scarves and warm, loving heart. Your physical presence will be missed! I pray that your family and loved ones can feel your presence as spirit as they grieve your passing and find comfort in knowing that you have not really left their sides. Thank you for showing me the beautiful flower yesterday and letting me know you are ok.

  1. I do believe that we can heal ourselves to a certain extent. But when professional help is needed to heal, I’m thankful that it’s there for us to use, as I found out a couple of times this past two weeks. Keeping our energy level positive can be difficult some days……I just have to keep reminding myself to do it. Or someone “interrupts” my nap or daily life to remind me. Wish I knew who it was, but all I can say is thank you, I hear you!

To my dear friend, Lindar P.: I will be thinking of you as I plant flowers this spring and tend to them during the summer, listen to the beautiful sounds of the birds wherever I am and watch the trail of animals through my yard. And every time I read a book, you can sit beside me and I will read to you.
